Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show featuring Nas, Big L, The Fuggees, 89.9 FM

Best-Radio-Show-January-1998

First of all, Shoutout to my Coli team and mainly the poster Newwark for bringing this out into the light:

Many people today aren’t familiar with the Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show. This wasn’t like that corny Rosenberg Hot 97 slot where they thought just because they play 3 non platinum acts on their show that their representing true hip hop culture. That is completely not the case at all with this legendary show.

The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito represented the true essence of hip hop and gave many up and coming underground emcees their first kind of exposure. They weren’t afraid of breaking new acts, They allowed artists to come in there and freestyle and gave many insightful interviews.

In this episode here clocking at an approximate Four Hours, This historical piece goes back to where the show debuted Nas’s It Aint Hard 2 Tell and where a small group from Newark NJ(The Fuggees) made their debut. This was the Underground Hip hop platform that broke many acts throughout the mid 90s.

DJ Stretch Armstrong, Bobbito & Lord Sear.

Trumungunoid propers to Nes, Aleph, Chris Millar, Serch and the entire Philaflava Unit.
