Three 6 Mafia been going through some transitions since they won their Oscar in 2006. Reality TV shows, Cooking shows along with being embraced by pop music’s finest seemed to have takened the groups focus off music for a while. Many people mainly their diehards claimed Three 6 sold out by doing pop music such as “I Can Feel it”, Lolli Lolli along with the mediocre Last 2 Walk album. It seemed without the other members that DJ Paul and Juicy lost their edge.

Having that their album bricked and on the verge of losing their core. Three 6 went back to the underground route and back to their hardcore style that many loved them for. DJ Paul’s Scale A Ton album was pretty solid along with Juicy’s Hustle till I Die but soon as Juicy linked up with hot up and coming producer Lex Luger for his Rubbaband Man mixtape series. It not only pleased their core but it also reintroduced Juicy and the Three 6 Mafia brand to the streets.

Although DJ Paul along with the rest of 3-6 Mafia aside from Project Pat are notably absent. Blue, Dream and Lean is a mixtape that still bangs hard thanks to Lex Luger bass heavy anthems. Mixed with trap heavy anthems along with 70s souls sampled grooves. This was just the mixtape Three 6 Fans want to hear from Juice.

Tracks such as I Don’t Play with Guns, Aint Allowed Where I’m From, Drugged Out, and Gotta Stay Strapped stay true to the Three 6 Mafia of violent anthems whereas Stoners Night, Zip and a Double Cup, U Trippy Mane, and Riley are tracks where Juice celebrating getting high and fucked up.

Subject Manner wise Juicy isn’t saying much but its entertaining nevertheless.Theres some times where the tape drags but it still bangs throughout If You’re expecting an album full of uplifting messages then you might as well want to pass this over because this isn’t for you. People who were displeased of Three 6’s material should love this mixtape. Juicy and Lex have pretty good chemistry so hopefully they’ll continue to do more.
